How You Can Help

Since we are still in the early stages of setting up and becoming a fully functional Non-Profit it is hard for me to answer the question “How Can I Help?”. Recently we booked our first event at the Note in West Chester, PA. This event is a great opportunity for everyone who is interested to lend a hand with our promotional efforts. The event will be for ages 21 and over, but everyone can get involved with this effort and actually make a difference in how much money we can raise at our first event.

This past weekend I went out myself and put up some flyers for this event and I was surprised at how receptive all the local businesses were to putting these up. There are only a few of us volunteers who are actually managing this project currently, so a similar effort for volunteers is crucial.

Here are some simple steps you can take if you would like to do the same:

  1. Go to our homepage and download the PDF for our first event.
  2. Print some copies of the flyer and remember to grab a stapler and tape.
  3. Go around to some local businesses and ask if you can put up a flyer. Just asking “Do you have a bulletin board, or another place I can put this flyer for our local skatepark,” seemed to work fine for me.
  4. Pat yourself on the back, because you just got Downingtown one step closer to having a “world class” concrete skatepark.
