I was listening to NPR at work today when I came across this story: Click here for Story. It is really uplifting to know that actions sports are though of internationally as a way to transcend ones life. Even in Afghanistan. Unlike Football and Baseball these are truly world sports.
I'm the Founder/Chair of the Downingtown Skatepark Organization and a web/graphic designer who lives in Downingtown, PA and works in Philadelphia. I've been skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing and involved with the action sports community for the majority of my life. After years of getting something for nothing, starting the Downingtown Skatepark Organization seemed like the best way for me to give something back to the community I care so much about.
